Fort McMurray Boys and Girls Club
Description:
The Fort McMurray Boys and Girls Clubs, with families and other adults, offer children and youth opportunities to develop the skills, values they seek to become fulfilled individuals. The Fort McMurray Boys and Girls Club is a non-profit, charitable organization.
Objective:
Design and develop a website so that the people of Fort McMurray could learn about the Boys and Girls Club, it's programs, events, financial needs and otherwise.
Requirements:
I was asked for a clean professional design, something that would compliment the Boys and Girls Club. Because the Boys and Girls Club is government funded it has to meet certain web accessibility requirements. The website had to cater to both adults, teens and kids. Email accounts were asked to be setup; and finally registration forms were to be added for downloading by interested parents.
Solutions:
The design was created to look both professional and fun. Adults and kids
can equally relate with the look and feel of the website. The underlying code
and overall website is web accessible. Complying with Canada's Common Look and
Feel Initiative.
The Email accounts were setup and I instructed the employees
on how to use the email system, from creating new accounts to deleting old ones.
Registration forms were added in MS Word format. Interested individuals can now
download the registration forms for each program from the comfort of there home
computers.
Final Product:
The Fort McMurray Boys and Girls Club is happy with their website. They are happy to have their email accounts setup and ready to use.
